New product

This product is as revolutionary as our original broad bodied footrests were twenty years ago. At that time we failed to realise that our ideas would be reproduced by just about everybody so this time around the idea is patented.

We have a modular design which is a footrest made of two parts which are interchangeable. This provides many benifits to the trials rider; The footrest comprises of a hoop and a stump and weighs in at just 105 grammes complete.

The stump fits just about all modern trials bikes and can be changed for other types of mounts, for example we have already made stumps for KTM Mini Moto's,

It accepts Standard footrest springs and 12mm. dia. x 25 long bushes. The hoop is machined from 6086T6 Aluminium billet and is mated up to the stump by a tounge and groove joint. These patented features provide the following benifits;

Choice of footrest length we are currently making footrests at 112mm, 114 mm, and 120mm. long..the normal or average footrest is 114 long

Choice of forward or rearset footrest from the same parts.... we have a range of hoops available some are symetrical and will fit the same on either side others come as pairs but can be fitted so as thier offset makes them foreward or backward set.

Choice of footrest inclination; Mounting brackets on different bikes are just about all different; this along with rider preference for foreward /flat or rearward inclination enables us by selective assembly to provide exactly what you want. There is no official nomenclature for footrests so we use our own eg. Sherco brackets are 22 deg, gas gas 30 deg, beta 27 deg. etc etc. so for example if you wanted5 deg fwd. inclination you would use 27 deg stump on a sherco

Ability of the footrest to absorb shock energy from forward and backward impacts,

Although there is sufficient friction created in the joint mounting to cope with any energy inputs from the rider, when it comes to a crash the stump is able to rotate rather than simply get crushed. clamping of this joint is effected by 2 off M5 socket cap screws. We're not saying it's infallible but it does increase the durability of the footrest.

Replaceable stainless steel studs for maximum grip set at a height (3mm but you can wind them out if you want) which will not eat your boot soles.

For those of us who have been miles from a road with a snapped footrest eg. on the moors at SSDT it is also good to know that with this system you need only carry a 4mm af allen key (same as handlebar perch clamp bolt) to reposition and reclamp your rfootrest.

Naturally our footrests are as low as possible from the mounting point as nobody short or tall can benifit from riding on "stilts" we feel the forward offset position is the best way to accomadate shorter legs.

We are offering a choice of colours  we can offer extra long footrests (If you really want them!) and the shortest footrest we offer using this system is 114mm.

As you can see with this range of options available it adds up to a lot of pieces ..3 angles X 3 lenths X 3 hoop shapes X 5 colours ( I 'v always been rubbish at maths) but that is 3X3X5 = 45 combinations. with this in mind we may not have exactly what you want on the shelf waiting for your enquiry.
